Peter Avenue – Oxted
Before the house renovation began, these lovely clients asked us to design their new garden layout and planting.
This is the smart way to plan – not only does this ensure sufficient budget is reserved for the garden build at the end of the project, it also ensures the builders know which existing trees and features are to remain, and where the soil needs to be protected from compaction.
This rear garden is north facing so we proposed a fairly narrow patio adjacent to the house, and then created separate zones to the side for dining and lounging, linked by treads and softened by planting. A well proportioned lawn with plenty of space for the children to play and a trampoline (gently screened).
The front garden needed practical space for parking, whilst retaining the beautiful Magnolia, and then plenty of kerb appeal from colourful planting.
The result is a contemporary garden which is both practical and beautiful, and complements the newly renovated house.
