We designed this terrace for a gently sloping, south facing garden in #oxted and it’s the perfect spot to unwind and catch the last of the evening light. @fraserlandscapesltd #limpsfield #limpsfieldchart ...

The existing patio in this #oxted garden was shady and narrow, not to mention the wobbly steps up to the garden! We have created a great new space for the family to relax plus a lovely cooking and dining area, all softened by planting. The corten steel water feature is just beginning to get its colour, complementing beautifully the lovely brickwork (thank you @fraserlandscapesltd ) and the Carex test. Prairie Fire (spiky evergreen grass). More pics to follow as the planting matures. #limpsfield #limpsfieldchart ...

It’s all about the PREP! Assessing the light and soil, marking out, turf cutting lifting and disposal, rotavating, pulling out stones, digging over, raking, adding compost, and setting up irrigation. We are planning a hot border here to bring some drama and colour to this lovely #limpsfield garden, but first we must prepare the ground so that the plants we select will thrive. Now is a great time to plant as roots can establish while the ground is still fairly warm and then things can really get going next Spring #oxted #limpsfieldchart ...

Lovely to visit this #oxted garden we designed and planted in May looking so full and established. This long border is still looking great in mid October! #limpsfield #limpsfieldchart #godstone #sevenoaks @fraserlandscapesltd ...

Today we finished the planting of this lovely garden in Gresham Road #oxted and the muddy planting plan tells the story of the weather we have endured! Turf is next, and then we will post some amazing Before and After pics #limpsfield #limpsfieldchart @fraserlandscapesltd ...

Woodland project in #oxted is filling out nicely. This white Dicentra can be tricky to establish but is clearly loving the damp partial shade conditions. Worth trying as it flowers for months on end #limpsfield #limpsfieldchart ...

Poolside planting at our #woldingham project all establishing nicely - salvias and nepeta in flower with lots more to come #limpsfield #limpsfieldchart #oxted ...

This week has been a poolside planting project in #woldingham . We designed a contemporary scheme using swathes of colourful perennials, grasses and low beech hedges to accentuate the curves plus give some structure. Irrigation will be installed next week. Then we just need some sunshine! #oxted #limpsfield #limpsfieldchart ...

The Cornus kousa we planted in the corner of this #oxted garden is clearly settled in and loving life. #limpsfield #limpsfieldchart ...

This week we are planting and irrigating a woodland garden in #oxted and Monty is supervising #limpsfield #limpsfieldchart ...

Not only do we have to contend with rabbits here on #limpsfieldchart but the occasional deer too. This was spotted eating its way round my plants yesterday afternoon! #oxted #limpsfield ...

Loves damp, partial shade, has pretty pink flowers in early spring, and tough as anything once established - meet Persicaria bistorta Superba. Finally - the garden is getting going! #oxted #limpsfield #limpsfieldchart ...

Tellima grandiflora has these delicate, peachy coloured flowers which contrast beautifully with the purple Pittosporum Tom Thumb and the dark green Yew behind. It self seeds freely but I have no problem with this! #oxted #limpsfield #limpsfieldchart ...

I’m not normally a fan of bluebells in the beds but I’ve had to admit defeat in this bed - and actually, this year, I’m loving the contrast with the Acer. Large Hosta Sum and Substance beneath also contrasting beautifully (one of my fav Hostas and fairly slug resistant) #oxted #limpsfield #limpsfieldchart ...

An arty shot of some copper beech hedging we delivered to an #oxted client today, beautifully framing our gorgeous new van, affectionately known as ‘Fluffy’ #oxted #limpsfield #limpsfieldchart #vwcaddy ...

The Limpsfield and Oxted Horticultural Society vegetable seedlings sale is tomorrow - just look at this amazing selection grown by our members, and ready to plant out. There are a small number of boxes left but you need to be quick - if you would like to reserve and pre-pay for a mixed box email LODHS.sales@gmail.com #oxted #limpsfield #limpsfieldchart ...

The spotted woodpecker nest at the top of this ash tree in our garden is so noisy - we can hear the chicks cheeping all day long! Second year running in this tree. Very committed parents that never stop. Just lovely #springwatch #woodpeckersofinstagram ...

Yes the perennials have been slow to get going this year - but that’s what tulips are for! Bridging the gap. Delighted to see this narrow bed we planted last year in #oxted looking so lovely. There’s a small drop from the patio edge to the lawn so we softened it with a low evergreen hedge, colourful perennials and tulip bulbs. I think this is my fav combo - Queen of the Night, Spring Green and a pink I can’t remember the name of #limpsfield #limpsfieldchart ...

Delighted to see this #oxted border we planted last year looking so colourful. Tulips first, and then lots of colourful perennials waiting patiently for the soil to warm up so they can get going. A border close to the patio is a simple way to freshen up your planting and bring the action closer so that you can experience it. Looking forward to popping round to visit as many clients as possible this Spring to see how the planting is evolving. #limpsfield #limpsfieldchart ...

After yesterday’s very welcome downpours you might want to switch the irrigation off for a day or two. Simply turn the dial to OFF but don’t forget to turn it back to AUTO in a day or so. The damp earth means weeding is suddenly a lot easier and now is the perfect time to get out and tidy the beds. Thank you to @md_mechanical_services for the shiny new tap!! #oxted #limpsfield #limpsfieldchart ...

Setting out a kerb appeal project today in #oxted . Lots of fresh, zingy lime green foliage from the Acer and the Euphorbias plus plenty of colour to come. #limpsfield #limpsfieldchart ...

Loving driving round #oxted and seeing beautiful Amelanchier trees, planted by us, in full blossom. There’s a couple in front gardens on Detillens, some at the top of Rockfield, others tucked away in rear gardens - can you spot any more? #limpsfield #limpsfieldchart ...

This Cercis tree has had these beautiful hot pink buds for all of April so far. Yes magnolias may be more showy, but the late frosts brought that to a close fairly swiftly. Despite the frosts this little Cercis just carried on doing its thing. Next up: lime green, heart-shaped leaves #oxted #limpsfield #limpsfieldchart #cerciscanadensis ...

Left a bit! Right a bit!! Setting out these beautiful Malus Red Sentinel trees today in #oxted . Crab apple trees have wonderful spring blossom and striking autumn colour plus they are great for wildlife. We only had 3 holders and 4 trees but we got there in the end! #limpsfield #limpsfieldchart @fraserlandscapesltd ...

It looks like the worst of the frosts may be over so now is a good time to screw the irrigation timer and manifold back on your outdoor tap. The beds are very dry so your plants will be thirsty. This is how it should look: tap on, flow switch open, dial turned to Auto. Tighten the screws if there are any leaks. Please get in touch if you need help. Do watch out for frosty forecasts though and wrap it up or remove if necessary. Who’s managed to fit theirs already? #oxted #limpsfield #limpsfieldchart ...

Setting out the plants today in this sunny #oxted garden. This 17 metre long bed will be viewed from both sides so it needs some height from #stipagigantea plus #euphorbiawulfenii and lots of long-flowering perennials #limpsfield #limpsfieldchart @fraserlandscapesltd ...

This breathtaking trio of ornamental cherry trees - Prunus The Bride - arrived on site this morning and just lit up this #oxted garden. A very appropriate name! #limpsfield #limpsfieldchart ...

Happy Easter! No chicks yet this year but plenty of eggs! Enjoy your weekend ..... ...

Rhubarb forcing has been ridiculously successful - this is the sight that greeted me this morning. I seem to be harvesting a huge bunch each week?! ...

Pathway planting completed last week in Essex - we have replaced the old box hedging which was destroyed by the box moth caterpillar. The brief was a ‘riot of colour’ so we have balanced some evergreen structure with lots of flowering perennials - they should spring to life very soon #oxted #limpsfield #limpsfieldchart ...

The team are refreshing the planting in this beautiful, sunny #sevenoaks garden today. Officially the best job in the world on a day like today! #oxted #limpsfield #limpsfieldchart #sevenoaksmums ...

Another shady, north facing front garden completed yesterday in #oxted . Shade needn’t mean dull - there’s plenty of colour planned here, plus lots of evergreen structure. It’s all about the plant choices - Viburnum tinus, Skimmia Kew Green, Pittosporum and whopping climbing hydrangeas plus pops of colour and movement from grasses and perennials. #limpsfield #limpsfieldchart ...
